Road Conditions
Sugarbush Farm is located on a town maintained gravel road. There is room for two way traffic and the roads have a posted speed limit of 25 mph for safe travel.
All three roads leading to Sugarbush Farm from Quechee, Woodstock and Taftsville start out as black top paved roads and after a couple of miles turn to town maintained gravel roads. Some travelers are surprised when they reach the gravel but here in Vermont more than half the roads are not paved. Two reasons are the cost of paving and the fact that many Vermonters enjoy unpaved roads so they can walk, jog, bike and ride horseback more comfortably.
So no worries for visitors coming to visit any time except during winter storms when it might be icy before our town of Pomfret applies sand and spring mud season, when the thaw sometimes makes it quite muddy.
Tall wide RV's might feel the road was a little narrow with some hanging trees a little low. While we do have many campers drive here, some feel more comfortable leaving their RV's either at local camping areas or a parking spot on the main highway.
